Experimental Study on the Preparation of Hydrogen-Rich Gas by Gasifying of Traditional Chinese Medicine Residue in a DFB Based on Calcium Looping

Using traditional Chinese medicine residue biomass as the raw material and industrial limestone a carbon absorbent, this paper investigates production of hydrogen-rich synthesis gas in pilot-scale calcium looping dual fluidized bed (DFB) system. The study focuses on analyzing distribution characteristics temperature pressure, well operation control methods DFB effects reaction temperature, layer height (residence time), water vapor/biomass ratio (S/B), calcium/carbon molar (Ca/C) gasification products are examined. experimental results demonstrate that (600–700 °C), S/B (0.5–1.5), Ca/C (0–0.6), other parameters increase, composition shows gradual increase volume content H2, decrease CO, an initial subsequent CH4. Within range operating conditions study, optimal for producing 700 °C, 1.5, 0.6. Furthermore, increasing furnace time) enhances absorption CO2 by absorbents, thus promoting H2 conversion rate gas.
